Special Olympics New York has hit a new milestone! This year, Special Olympics New York celebrates a remarkable 50 years of giving athletes not only the opportunity to play and enjoy a sport, but to become a champion; in the summer and winter, qualifying athletes come together for Olympic-style competitions at the exciting Special Olympics New York State Games that recognize a participant's determination, training, goal-setting, and achievements and can even lead to the USA Games and the World Games.

On Wednesday, August 12th, our 14th Annual Summer Social will be hosted by Bob Costas, in celebration of Special Olympics New York's 50th anniversary! This 1-hour virtual event will include cameos from Special Olympics NY athletes & celebrity partners such as Brett Favre, Aaron Tveit, Simone Biles, Mark Hamill, Josh Gad, Lindsey Vonn, Dale Moss, & Harlem Globetrotter's Big Easy, a digital silent auction, live music from DJ Luther Calvin Riggs, and a signature Game Changer cocktail recipe from our partners at Tao Group Hospitality. Traditionally, the Summer Social is the Leadership Council's most memorable event, and we look forward to continuing the event's success with supporters like you!
